The first step is to schedule a free Zoom chat via the Appointments section at the top of this page. In that session, we will get an idea of how well we work together and what our next steps should be from there. There are some forms you can complete that will give me some information about you so we can hit the ground running.
Yes and No. If what you were doing now was working then you wouldn't need help. If you keep doing the same thing you will get the same result. Life is a marathon of failure and learning and for many high achievers their success comes from an avoidance of failure. That requires them to know how to succeed with certainty which is easy to do if told by parents or read in textbooks at school. Life doesn't have a book that was written with you in mind and society is designed by neurotypicals for neurotypicals. Society and systems often conflict with the ADHD view of the world and set us up to fail. What are you told, what do you learn, what do you think? You don't fit in, you are dumb, you are lazy, you are unreliable, you don't try hard enough, I am sure it all sounds familiar. YOU ARE NOT THE PROBLEM, YOU ARE THE SOLUTION.
Commitment of time and effort is required and results will vary according to the individual needs and goals. The challenge is not in gaining knowledge but in the implementation of the 'right' solutions in a way that it becomes second nature. This can often be about experimentation, reducing barriers, creating momentum, and practice.
Yes and No. ADHD Coaching has a Life Coaching base with a context of ADHD. Coaching is designed with neurotypical brains in mind and can be great information that is difficult for the ADHD mind to implement. That is how an ADHD Coach can make the most difference compared with other types of Coaching. Always consider the Qualifications of Coaches as it is not a highly regulated industry.
At this stage ADHD coaching is not covered by Medicare. If you have self managed or Agency managed NDIS funding then coaching/counselling can be part of your NDIS plan. Coaching can be tax deductible for work or education as a self-education expense. Cost: Base rate is $116 for 55 mins Coaching. Packages are available that offer significant savings. A session can be 25, or 55 minutes in duration based on concentration and interest levels. (Not mine)
Payment is preferred via direct transfer or Square before or at the beginning of session.
Yes. This can be arranged although I do not currently have a dedicated space. Cost of meetings will reflect travel time to meeting site from my home in Vermont.
Through increased self awareness, solution focused mindset, confidence and reward acknowledgement you will become a better you. It is not about changing who you are but using what you already know about yourself to navigate life better.
You will realize your goals and arm yourself with a roadmap to not only reach them but accomplish much more. To make the most of your ADHD and natural abilities to negotiate the difficulties that life throws at you.
Life is stressful. Coaching will give you the tools you need to match now with your future. To realistically take the steps to achieve daily success and balance.
Committing to being a better you is just that – a commitment, and it’s a big one that will take dedication. My commitment is to provide understanding and unconditional support. A common statement I hear is "I know what to do and how to do it but I just can't do it." I challenge that because if you really knew how to do it YOU WOULD BE DOING IT NOW. My process is about finding what works for you. Not what you 'should' do or what other people do.
